The Foxes have decided not to renew the contract of the experienced striker after they suffered relegation to League One
Leicester City have announced the departure of striker Jordan Ayew following the expiration of his contract, a club official statement said on Sunday morning.
Ayew, 34, is among ten senior team players who have been released as the club move into a new direction ahead of their participation in League One next season.
“Alongside Ricardo, strikers Patson Daka and Jordan Ayew, defender Jamaal Lascelles and Academy graduate Wanya Marçal will also leave us at the end of the season following the expiration of their contracts,” a club official statement read.
Ayew scored six league goals this season for Leicester and 11 goals in all competitions since joining them from Crystal Palace two seasons ago.
He is likely expected to move to Gulf region after the World Cup as he leads the Black Stars against England, Panama and Croatia in Group L,
