According to reports in the local media, Ghana FA have sacked the technical director of the Black Stars, Winfried Schafer, following the departure of former coach Otto Addo.
Schafer is believed to have failed to clearly show his impact after becoming the technical director and was part of the reasons Otto Addo performed abysmally as the coach.
GhanaSportsCentral understands that many heads will roll in the coming days as the reshaping of the technical department continues before the World Cup kicks off in June.
The Black Stars, who have been paired with England , Panama and Croatia in Group I at the World Cup, are still looking for a head coach. Former West Ham boss Slaven Bilic has been linked to the job as well as Kwesi Appiah, amongst other potential candidates.
