The fast-rising young coach will be in Nigeria for scouting purposes as well technical duties for the Sudanese giants

Sudan 🇸🇩 assistant coach Ignatius Osei-Fosu has joined Al Merriekh technical team to offer support to the club ahead of the 8-team Value Jet Cup, set to begin on July 24 to August 31 at the home ground of Remo Stars in Nigeria.

With international football currently on break, the Ghanaian coach who is assistant to Kwesi Appiah, will use the opportunity to assist Al Merriekh while closely monitoring players who can help Sudan in their bid to qualify to 2026 FIFA World Cup to be staged in United States, Canada and Mexico.

Al Merrikh touched down in Ikenne, Ogun State as part of four clubs who have officially confirmed their participation including defending champions Shooting Stars, Remo Stars, and Kwara United.

Also, current Nigeria Professional Football League champions, Rangers International, Abia Warriors, Ikorodu City and former NPFL champions Rivers United are expected to be confirmed participation.
