The head coach for Benin, Mousah Latoundji optimistic of beating Ghana in the second leg of the CHAN qualifiers despite their 3-0 defeat to Ghana.

The Black Galaxies on Sunday enhanced their chances of reaching the next stage of the qualifications after beating the Junior Squirrels at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.

Goals from Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, Mohammed Alhassan and Gladson Awako helped the 2009 finalists to snatch the win from the first leg.

Coach Mousa Latoundji believes there will be a miracle to turn things around when they host Ghana in the second leg.

“Football is a ninety minute game. If it has happened then we can also do it in one day to score four goals,” he stated in a post match interview.

The overall winner from the two-legged encounter will advance to play Nigeria in the next round of the qualifications in August.
