This is the first time South Africa is lifting the continental trophy.

Hildah Magaia was the heroine of the match after her brace saw South Africa won the tournament for the first time after five attempts.

After a goalless first half dominated by the South Africans, Magaia broke the deadlock on 63 giving the visitors the lead.

Eight minutes later, she doubled for Bayana Bayana with a composed finish.

The second goal woke up the Moroccans as they sprung to action to reduce the tally.

Rosella Ayane drilled the ball into the bottom corner to pull one back for the Atlas Lionesses.
