The Central African Republic national team will host the Black Stars of Ghana this afternoon at the Estadio da Cidadela in Angola on matchday of the AFCON 2023 qualifiers.

The Wild Beast have been banned from their preferred grounds to host any international game by the Confederation of African Football and the Federation of International Football Association.

The Central African Republic coach, Raoul Savoy insists that the choice made will be very difficult for them but would play right into the hands of Ghana.

The host are in search of their first ever AFCON participation and are optimistic of making history this time around but worried about the sanction on their home venue.

Away games in African football are daunting assignment but this particular game will be played behind closed doors whiles Central African Republic play as the host.

Ghana saw a great win in front of their fans at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on Wednesday when they defeated Madagascar 2-0 in the opener.

It was that bad for the Central African Republic side in their first game, conceding a 2-1 defeat to Angola.

Today’s game will be an interesting game base on how the two teams will play each other at the venue that favors no one but the head coach of the Wild Beast has admitted Ghana’s chances of picking a win in the upcoming game.

“Playing at the neutral ground will be very difficult for us as well as Ghana but of playing here without public at the ground is not an advantage for us, is more an advantage for Ghana but anyway it all our problem. We have to do it to deal with it and no time to complain. We have to play this game here in a very good condition, in a very good stadium, coach Raoul Savoy stated in interview with ghanasportspage.com.
