AFCON 2021: Black Stars camp news – Kudus Mohammed to join if Ghana progress from the group stage, check-in for more updates

According to a report from the camp of the Ghana national team in Cameroon, Ajax midfielder Kudus Mohammed is likely to join the team if they progress from the group stage to round 16 of the 33rd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations. Top Ghanaian journalist in Cameroon told ghanasportpage.com.

The 22-year old midfielder was supposed to arrive last week before the game against Gabon but the gaffers of the Black Stars reported that the player’s arrival has been rescheduled.

Later on, it was confirmed that Kudus Mohammed might not take part in the entire tournament as revealed by coach Milovan per a report from his club in the Netherlands.

The Black Stars lost their first game 1-0 to Morocco and drew 1-1 with Gabon in the second group game in Group C.

As it stands, Ghana is having just a point from two games but will have to qualify as one of the best third-placed teams with four points. Morocco has already sealed a place in the next round of the competition with 6points. The Panthers have also earned four points and are likely to book a place in the next round of the competition from Group C.

On the other, the Ghana national team left the capital city of the tournament venue, Yaounde on Sunday afternoon for Garoua where the team takes on Comoros come Tuesday.

The Black Stars will stay at the Hotel De Ribadou until Tuesday before their last group game.

Their game against the Panthers will be staged at the Stade Omnisport Roumbe Adjia at exactly 19:00GMT.

TRAINING UPDATE

The Black Stars will hold their official training session at the Roumde Adjia stadium annex in Garoua on Monday, January 17, 2022 at 18:3000Hrs.

The training will be preceded by the official Press Conference at 13:00Hrs at the same venue.
