Following the win, the experienced fullback says the ambition is to win the ultimate just like any other club in the competition.

“….Every team is targeting the trophy so so far as we Hearts of Oak are in the competition we are also targeting the trophy.” He told Asempa FM

The 2000 champions will face two times winners and last edition’s semi-finalists, Wydad Athletic Club( WAC) in the play-off round as Rainbow team hope for group stage appearance for the first in a long while.

Reacting to the test ahead, Fatawu said: “Honestly I’ve not watched them (WAC) but we will watch them and get to know their style of play, their strengths and their weaknesses that we can capitalize on.”

Hearts of Oak will host the Moroccans between October 15-16 before the second leg in Casablanca between October 22-23.
