Veronica Appiah, Perpetual Agyekum, Azuma Bugre guided Hasmal to a 3-1 win over Rivers in the finals at Stade Champroux in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

The ‘Dooo’ girls had a positive start, scoring inside the first minute of the game through Veronica Appiah who scored her second goal of the tournament.

Vivian Ikechuku levelled the score for the Nigerians 9 minutes later in what was an entertaining match with end to end stuff.

Hasaacas made a forced substitution as star player Milot Opoku picked up an injury at the half an hour mark.

A few minutes later Perpetual Agyekum restored the lead for Hasmal with a brilliant freekick goal to end the first half 2-1.

In the second half, Azuma Burge made it three on the 57th minute with a long-range effort to increase the score.

Hasaacas hanged on to the two-goal margin to finish as the eventual winners of the maiden WAFU Zone B Women’s Champions League.

Both finalists have already booked a spot in the main Total Energies CAF Women’s Champions League which will be held in Egypt.
