The referees, all from Niger, arrived last night in the nation’s capital at 8:10pm where they passed the night to catch much rest.

The four officials will arrive in Kumasi this afternoon by flight where they will continue to Obuasi by land to prepare for the crucial match tomorrow.

Abdoulaye Rhisa Almustapha is the centre referee who will be joined one the lines by his compatriots Sadissou Idi and Soufia Abdou as assistant referees one and two respectively.

Moussa Ahamadou joins as the fourth official while Nigeria’s Sanusi Mohammed completes the list of officials as the match commissioner.

The match Commissioner Sanusi Mohammed is expected to arrive in at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra this evening from Nigeria to catch a flight to Kumasi before moving to Obuasi for tomorrows game.

Ashantigold’s opponents Akonangui FC on the other hand, failed to feed the Ghanaian club with their travel itinerary as per regulations require, and are expected to arrive in the country today as per our checks. The Ebebiyin based club are expected to train at the match venue, the Obuasi Len Clay stadium today ahead of tomorrow’s clash and it remains to be seen how that will become practicable.

The first leg ended 1-1 in Equatorial Guinea at the Ebebiyin stadium and Ashantigold just need to avoid a defeat tomorrow or maintain a barren scoreline to secure qualification to the next stage of the competition.
