Jordan, Sefa miss out as Zachariassen announce 18-man squad for FC San Pedro tie in Abidjan

Kumasi Asante Kotoko coach Kjetil Zachariassen has announced a list of 18 players for the club’s trip to Abidjan for the Confederation Cup play off second leg tie against FC San Pedro.

Asante Kotoko are schedule to leave the country for Ivory Coast on Friday afternoon ahead of their Confederation Cup reverse fixture against their fellow West African counterparts on Sunday, and coach Zachariassen has named his players for the crucial encounter with the sole aim of securing qualification into the group stage of the 2019/2020 competition.

Veteran midfielder Jordan Opoku and Augustine Sefa, a commander in the right side of defence have both been left out of the squad. Central defender Habib Mohammed will also sit back home to monitor preceedings as he serves last of his two games suspension following a straight red card he attracted in Tunisia againt Etoile Sportive du Sahel in the last preliminary qualifier of the Champions league where Kotoko crashed out with 3-0 defeat to The Stars.
