Hearts of Oak have announced that goalkeeper Solomon Agbesi is in a stable condition after colliding with another player in the 1-0 win over Young Apostles at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Agbesi’s condition came under attack in the late embers of the game but the health officials were apt to salvage the situation.
“Following a collision in the dying minute of today’s match, goalkeeper Solomon Agbesi, who also happened to have won the Man of the Match sustained a concussion and was stretchered off the pitch before being transported to the stadium clinic,” the statement read.
“He received immediate medical attention with the club’s medics available and has since been treated and discharged. The Man of the Match is in stable condition and remains under close monitoring.
“We are pleased to report that he is stable and recovering well,” the statement added.
