The victory marked a significant milestone for Ghanaian midfielder Antoine Semenyo, who celebrated his first major trophy in professional football. The energetic midfielder played with confidence and composure, contributing to City’s attacking threat throughout the encounter.

Speaking after the match, an elated Semenyo expressed both pride and calm assurance about the achievement, hinting that this triumph is only the beginning of greater success.

“A hundred percent—first of many. I’m excited, I’m happy, and many more to come. Personally, very chilled, very chilled and relaxed. It’s just another game for me,” he said.

Despite the magnitude of the occasion, Semenyo maintained a composed mindset, reflecting a player growing in maturity and belief on the big stage. His performance embodied the tactical discipline and attacking freedom that defined City’s approach.

Manchester City executed their game plan with precision, controlling possession and limiting Arsenal’s attacking opportunities. Their efficiency in front of goal ultimately made the difference, as they capitalised on key moments to seal the 2-0 victory.

“We had a game plan, and if we got the game plan right we would win, and we are proud and happy,” Semenyo added, underlining the team’s tactical focus.

One of the standout aspects of his performance was his ability to take on defenders and create problems in wide areas. His direct style of play kept Arsenal’s backline under constant pressure.

“Yeah, I think I just have that freedom—to get at defenders and cause problems—and that’s what I’ve done today. I had Hincapié running around a little bit,” he noted with a smile.

The triumph further reinforces Manchester City’s reputation as one of the most dominant forces in English football, while also spotlighting emerging talents like Semenyo who are beginning to leave their mark on the biggest stage
