Black Queens head coach Kim Björkegren is confident his side is fully prepared to face host nation Morocco in the WAFCON 2025 semifinal, despite the anticipated challenge of a passionate home crowd.

In a pre-match interview, Björkegren shared insights into his meticulous preparation approach, emphasizing the importance of planning and analysis ahead of such a high-stakes encounter.

“I study everything. I watch the patterns, the matchups. I like to feel in control, even if I’m not the one on the pitch. That’s where the planning with my staff comes in,” he explained.

Playing against Morocco, host nation, in front of an expected crowd of 21,000 fans presents its own psychological test, but the Swedish tactician is unfazed.

“Sure, a stadium packed with 21,000 fans can be intimidating, but it can also work the other way. If we stay calm and focused, we can silence that crowd.”

Björkegren concluded with a message of belief and national pride, underlining the team’s mission to make the nation proud.

“This game means a lot to the country. We’re here to represent Ghana. We know it’s going to be tough, but we’re ready. We will give it everything.”

The Black Queens are aiming for their first WAFCON final appearance since 2006, and a win over Morocco would mark a significant milestone in the team’s resurgence under Björkegren’s leadership.

The game is slated for 19:00 GMT kickoff time.
