Ghana new striker Michael Baidoo scored once again for Swedish side Elfsborg as they lost 4-3 to Galatasaray in UEFA Europa League.

The Ghanaian, who made his international debut against Sudan last week, slotted home his second goal in his last Europa League games from the spot as Elfsborg attempted a late comeback.

Mauro Icardi scored the first goal of the game for Galatasaray on 28th minute and goalkeeper Isak Pettersson made it 2-0 through an own goal eleven minutes later. Barış Alper Yılmaz added another goal for the hosts on the verge of half time to make it 3-0 as the game looked like a non-contest.

After the break, Niklas Hult pulled one back for Elfsborg on 52nd minute before Baidoo added another from the spot to turn things around and make the game keenly contested.

However, Yunus Akgün scored to push the scoreline to 4-2 with seven minutes to full time through a nice effort.

Ghanaian defender Terry Yegbe, who was shown a yellow card on 38th minute for a poor tackle, lasted 89 minutes in the match for Elfsborg and he was replaced by Johan Larsson who scored with his first attempt on goal to make it 4-3.

Also, former Inter Allies striker Jalal Abdullai was a second half substitute. The 19-year-old came on for Arber Zeneli on 78th minute.

Despite Elfsborg pushing men forward for the equaliser, Galatasaray’s defence was tight and held on to break the hearts of the travelling supporters who were aiming at snatching at least a point.
