Andre Ayew left out again as well as injured Ernest Appiah Nuamah as Otto Addo names Ghana’s squad to face Angola and Niger in 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Majeed Ashimeru has returned to the squad after missing the World Cup qualifiers couple of months again due to injuries.

Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Frederick Asare maintains his spot in the squad as one of the three goalkeepers alongside Lawrence Ati-Zigi and Jojo Wallocott.

Leicester City duo of Jordan Ayew and Fatawu Issahaku made the list but Jeffrey Schlupp of Crystal Palace fame could not make it whilst Southampton’s Kamaldeen Sulemana was dropped due to injury concerns.

In the abscence of Andre Ayew, Arsenal poster boy Thomas Teye Partey will continue to act as the captain and he will be deputised by Jordan Ayew.

The Black Stars will host Angola at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on September 5, 2024, before locking horn with Niger for the second Group F fixture on September 9, 2024 at the Estadio De Berkane.
