“The Malagasy Football Federation is pleased to announce the new coach to lead BAREA national team for our last two games in the AFCON qualifiers.

“Rakotondrabe Romuald, a Malagasy technician who is unique among all brought high national honor during the last CHAN. His experience and strategic vision are believed to inspire the national team to build a new foundation and strengthen our pursuit of success on the field.

“Rakotondrabe Romuald Felix is ready to take on his role and work closely with the players, technical staff and supporters of the Malagasy national team. Together we will walk to success and do everything to reach the common goal,” The Malagasy Football Federation confirmed.

The new manager’s mission will be to qualify the national team for the African Cup of National 2022 in Cote d’Ivoire, which will kick off in January next year.

The team still have two matches to play, one with Ghana on home soil on Jun 12. His assignment is limited to those two matches.

With two games to spare, the Barea has only one point from four games and currently occupies the last place in E.
