The seventh edition of the CHAN officially gets underway today at 19:00GMT. The competition will be commenced with the game between Algeria and Libya at the Stade de Nelson Mandela in Algiers.
Both teams will be looking to lay down an early statement of intent in Group A, where they have been drawn alongside Ethiopia and Mozambique.
Libya aims to replicate their success from the 2014 CHAN where it went all the way in South Africa.
For Algeria, this will be their second appearance at the African Nations Championship – they will be keen to improve upon their first outing back in 2011, ending in a group-stage exit.
