The Porcupine Warriors, Kumasi Asante Kotoko will open their CAF Champions League preliminary round against Burkinabé side RC Kadiogo in Benin today, Monday 12th September 2022.

Asante Kotoko has in the previous years proven incredibly exciting to watch recently, with 22 of their last 22 games in the CAF Champions League producing goals at both ends of the pitch.

Speaking of the club that counts both coaches amongst its former managers, they have been involved in six consecutive top-flight fixtures of this type.

The Ghanaian champions are confident of beating Kadiogo in both legs to advance to the next round of the competition.

In the much-anticipated game, Coach Seydou is starting the Black Galaxies goalkeeper, Ibrahim Danlad in the post ahead of Frederick Asare and Moise Pouaty from Cameron.

Yussif Mubarak, Sherrif Mohammed and Nettey will lead the defense alongside John Tedeku. The midfield also has the captain, Richard Boadu Agadas and Richmond Lamptey.

Without the second top scorer of the last season’s GPL, Steven Mukwala will lead the lines as confirmed in our probable line-up earlier together with Georges Mfegue. The game is set to kick off at 4:00 PM local time.
