Hohoe United are in trouble after they were handed a three-home ban amid relegation battle following their fans’ troubles against Vision FC in Ghana Premier League six weeks ago.
“Hohoe United FC has been handed a three (3) home match ban, fined GHS 30,000, and formally warned by the GFA Disciplinary Committee for misconduct following their Ghana Premier League game against Vision FC,” a GFA statement read.
“The club was found guilty of failing to ensure the safety of match officials, allowing unauthorized entry into restricted areas, and inappropriate behavior by supporters, including throwing objects onto the field.
“The home match ban takes immediate effect, and the fine is to be paid within fourteen (14) days of notification of the decision.
“Hohoe United FC has further been warned that any future misconduct will attract more severe sanctions,” the statement added.
Meanwhile, Aduana Football Club have also been fined GHS 10,000 and formally warned by the GFA Disciplinary Committee for misconduct following their Ghana Premier League game against Medeama SC.
The club was found guilty of social media commentary that brings the game into disrepute. The fine is to be paid within fourteen (14) days of notification of the decision.
Aduana Football Club has further been warned that any future misconduct will attract more severe sanctions.
