Tanzui community celebrates historic triumph for clinching Inter Community Unity Soccer title

The Bolgatanga Mobil Park was ELECTRIFIED as Tanzui Community took on Daportindongo Community in the thrilling finale of the 4th edition of the Inter Community Unity Soccer Tournament! 19 communities from across the Bolgatanga Municipality came together to witness this epic showdown.

Tanzui Community dominated the match, winning 2-0, with goals from Bernard (12th minute) and Denis Alangdi (18th minute). The community’s third appearance in the final since 2021 paid off, as they lifted the Giant Trophy.

The tournament was more than just a game – it was a celebration of unity and togetherness. Players from both teams shared laughter and stories, while elders exchanged handshakes and warm smiles.

Tanzui Community’s haul:
– Ghc 3000
– Giant Trophy
– Medals
– Best Player of the Tournament: Tanzui Azuma Perry
– Best Goalkeeper: Mensah Carlos

Daportindongo Community took home Ghc 2000 as Runners-Up.

Other award winners:
– Top Scorer: Desmond Akane (Zaare Community)
– Most Promising Player: Adongo Elijah (Daportindongo Community)
– Best Coach: Azudaa Emmanuel

Friends of Prosper sponsored the tournament, providing jerseys, footballs, and cash for the entire organisation of the communities.
