Defending champions Asante Kotoko is welcoming their rivalry with King Faisal in the Round of 32 of the MTN FA Cup this afternoon at Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Asante Kotoko progressed to this stage after staging a massive comeback to beat Future Stars 2-1 in the Round of 64, while King Faisal defeated PAC Academy to make it to the Round of 32.
The Porcupine Warriors come into the match fresh from a 2-1 loss to Swedru All Blacks in the Ghana Premier League. Coach Karim Zito, a two-time winner of the title as a coach, is aiming to go past King Faisal to make it to the Round of 16 – and also to brighten their chances of a silverware this season.
