In Asante Kotoko SC Premier League game against FC Samartex 1996 in November 23, 2025 been found guilty of charges which was committed after game.

The encounter which was played at the Nsenkyire park, had Kotoko make ill comments about the match officials following the end of match.

The match day 10 clash ended in a dramatic goalless draw but saw, Asante Kotoko SC exhibit misconduct which the GFA Disciplinary Committee founds disheartening revealing such acts brings the game into disrepute, hence their punishment.

Kotoko is fined to pay GHS 5,000 with warning of abstaining from such acts in near future.

“Asante Kotoko SC have been handed a GHS 5,000 fine and a warning by the Disciplinary Committee for misconduct following their Ghana Premier league match against FC Samartex 1996”

“The club was found guilty of bringing the game into disrepute by publishing comments tahg questioned the match officials integrity”, GFA Disciplinary Committee charge sheet reads.

The fine, is however to be paid within 14 days of notification of the decision by the club.
