Speaking instantly after the draw on Tuesday, the former U-20 AFCON winner shared his view that his side is nowhere closer to the Malien giants but he believes they could go all they way to make history.

Speaking to Accra-based Mothers FM, Karim Zito shared: “They finished second in their group and we also finished first but we are nowhere near Stade Malien when you compare the two clubs.

“I played them during my time with King Faisal. It was 1-0 in Mali and a 1-1 scoreline in Ghana which helped them to qualify. You can’t take them for granted but they will also not take us for granted because of our position in the group stage.

“All things being equal, we are going to fight as usual because the fear of failure is gone. There was fear in the beginning but we are now among the big boys so we have to think like a matured team now. I know it won’t be easy but we will do our best to qualify from that game,” said Karim Zito.

The CAF Confederation Cup debutants were dominant in their group as they finished first with 12 points from for wins and two defeats.

Stade Malien also finished second in their group. Their 10 points saw them end the group stage as runners-up behind RS Berkane.

Should Dreams overcome the challenge from the 2009 champions, , they will come up against one of Future FC or Zamalek in the semi-final stage.
