Black Stars star man, Mohammed Kudus has been dropped from the matchday as Ghana’s name lineup for their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations opener against Cape Verde.
Head coach Chris Hughton during his pre-match presser revealed that the West Ham United man has not fully recovered from his injury.
Despite Kudus’ miss, Hughton has named a strong lineup as he looks to get off to a winning start.
Richard Ofori is expected to be in post behind a backline of Denis Odoi, Alexander Djiku, Mohammed Salisu, and Gideon Mensah.
In the middle, Majeed Ashimeru and Baba Idrissu are the pivots in the manager’s preferred 4-2-3-1 system.
Joseph Paintsil and Jordan Ayew will be on the flanks while Ransford Yeboah plays behind Antoine Semenyo.
