It is the first game for the Irishman man as head coach of the Black Stars after he was appointed to replace Otto Addo.

He will be hoping to hit the ground running as the Black Stars continue their quest for a 10th consecutive AFCON appearance.

Ahead of today’s clash, Ghana have won once and drawn a game in their last two games in the group, scoring four while conceding once.

They are unbeaten in their last six home games and head here as the favorite. Ghana will strive to bounce back after their disappointing outing in the FIFA World Cup.

In Hughton’s set-up goalkeeper Ati Zigi has been given the green light to start ahead of Jojo Wollacott. Daniel Amartey, Alexander Dziku, Gideon Mensah and Dennis Odoi will also team up in defense.

Arsenal star Thomas Partey partners Kudus Mohammed and Edmund Addo in midfield, while Inaki Williams spearheads attack alongside Jordan Ayew, and Kamaldeen Suleimana.
