MTN FA Cup winners, Accra Hearts of will be facing the winner between AS Douanes (Burkina Faso) and ASR Bamako (Mali) in the second round which will be played between 7th – 10th of October in the first leg and 14th -17th of October.
The Ghanaian club is exempted from the first round of the CAF confederations competition and will be watching for the winner from the aforementioned game.
The former champions of the competition booked their tickets for next season’s CAF inter-club competition after beating Bechem United in the finals of the MTN FA Cup.
Accra Hearts of Oak are returning into the competition after being eliminated last season by JS Saoura from Algeria.
Douanes will face Bamako in a two-leg encounter in September before the winner takes on the Ghanaian giants in the next stage.
The second preliminary round of the Confederation Cup is slated for October 2022.
