Chelsea goalkeeper, Edouard Mendy makes start in the goal post ahead of Cameroon’s Andre Onana who was named among the substitutes.

Only three Egyptian’s joined the starting lineup (Salah, Mohammed Elneny of Arsenal and Mohamed Abdelmonem).

At the defense, PSG’s Hakimi was put next to Abdelmonem, Edmond Tapsoba of Burkina Faso & Bayer Leverkusen in the heart of the defence, with Saliou Ciss playing at full-back.

Arsenal man Elneny made the three-man midfield alongside Senegal & Leicester City’s Nampalys Mendy and new Pyramids FC Burkinabe signing Ibrahim Blati Touré.

The most controversial decision was the CAF leaving Mohamed Abou-Gabal out of the team, with Senegal’s Edouard Mendy and Andre Onana of Cameroon getting the nod ahead of him. thanks
