The first goal came at the 24th-minute second-half spell when Cyprus-based Steve Yango put the Stallions in front, Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana scored an own during the 43rd minutes later before the break.

Burkina Faso showed much more purpose after the break to get the third goal with a brilliant play as Traore crosses for Ouattara and he gave Onana no chance with a powerful header during the 50th minute.

It was turning into heartbreaking result for the hosts, Cameroon but they bounced back strongly to equalize, shocking the world with a magic come back.

The host began the game without their top stars Vincent Aboubakar and Karl Toko Ekambi.

Stephane Bahoken scored the first cancellation as Vincent Aboubakar also came off the bench to score brace to draw 3-3 after the full time.

With an epic comeback by Cameroon, the match went into extra time to determine the third place winner of this African Cup of Nations but Cameroon sealed the victory on penalty shootout with 5-3 scoreline.

Cameroon, who have won the cup five times, were heartbreakingly beaten on penalties in their semi-final against Egypt on Thursday night as Burkina Faso also lost 3-1 to Senegal on Wednesday night.
