The final decision of the game to see the team that seals a place in the last eight of the tournament was decided on penalties as Egypt eased past the Ivorian’s with 5-4 scoreline.

Manchester United defender Eric Bailly suffered the anguish of missing a crucial penalty for the Ivory Coast, which led to their elimination from the Africa Cup of Nations at the hands of Egypt on Wednesday.

During the entire duration of the game, both goalkeepers did a perfect job to save their nation. At the 87th minute of the game Zamalek keeper Mohammed Abo Gabal had to come in for Mohamed El Shenawy after picking up a knee injury.
