AFCON 2021: Vincent Aboubakar nets another goal as Cameroon drub Comoros in round 16 stage

Host of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations, Cameroon has crashed out debutants, Comoros in a round 16 stage of the 33rd edition of the AFCON.

It was a hard fought for the debutant, played without a goalkeepeer.

All their three goalkeepers were not able to be in the post due to COVID-19 positive test.

The host ease past the host through the goals from Toko Ekambi and captain Vincent Aboubakar, the top scorer of the ongoing competition.

The host were given a real scare by an incredibly gutsy performance from AFCON debutants but the Indomitable Lions moved into the Africa Cup of Nations quarter-finals with a 2-1 win.

Cameroon tried to keep clean sheet in the game but the debutants would not go away and Youssouf M’Changama pulled one back with a brilliant long-range free-kick that gave Comoros the chance of a miraculous comeback in the final few minutes.

Captain Vincent Aboubakar kept his foot(s) in his scoring boot to extend maintain his name as top-scorer after getting his sixth goal of the tournament.

Cameroon will face another debutants, Gambia in the last eight of the tournament to fight for the semis.
