The Sports Ministry of Ghana led by Hon. Mustapha Yussif has therefore tasked the Ghana Football Association to review the work of the Serbian tactician, Coach Milovan and the entire management team of the Black Stars.

The ministry met with the GFA on Friday afternoon to review the humiliation and abysmal performance of the Ghana national team at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.

The outcome of the meeting has indicated that Coach Milovan Rajevac needs to be sacked but the football governing body, GFA is also against the decision. The GFA has claimed it will be too close to axing the Black Stars manager due to the upcoming assignment (World Cup qualifiers play-offs) in March.

Milovan Rajevac will have to be paid $270,000 in severance ($30K a month plus the 9 months left on his contract) if he is sacked.

Accordin to the laws of FIFA, only the football association can terminate the contract of a national team coach as any external action may amount to interference but government through the Sports Ministry pays the coach.

The Sports Ministry opened up on the discussions they had with the FA to the general public through a press release.
