The CAF Super Cup is a final game played by two winners from the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederations Cup in Africa.

This year’s edition of the game dragged all the attention to Qatar where two North African sides, Al Ahly from Egypt and Moroccan giant Raja Casablanca battled for the title in the city of Doha.

Raja Casablanca aimed for their third Super Cup title but Al Ahly came from behind to brush their hope off.

At the 13th minute in the game, Raja Casablanca was one step away from winning the trophy through an own goal but their hope was turned down after a late equalizer from Taher Mohamed assisted by South African skipper, Percy Tau on the 90th minute.

Al Ahly successfully defended their Champions League to book a place for the Super Cup after defeating Kaizer Chiefs 3–0 in the final, which was played at Stade Mohammed V in Casablanca, Morocco, whiles Raja Casablanca also belabored Algerian side JS Kabylie in the CAF Confederations Cup finals.
