The grand finale for the maiden edition of the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League maiden edition is coming on today in the Egyptian capital at the 30 June Stadium in New Cairo to decide who goes home with the trophy for the first time.

The game will witness West African WAFU ZONE B Champions, Hasacass Ladies and the Queen’s from South Africa, Mamelodi Sundowns.

It is the first clash between the two.

Both teams are hoping to maintain their undefeated round with an ambition to be the first to lift the trophy to write a history.

Both are unbeaten in their four games played at the tournament. Hasacass Ladies have won three and recorded one draw while Sundowns have won two and drawn two.

When the Ghanaians won the WAFU-B zonal qualifiers to reach the WCL finals, many thought that was a fluke. But in Egypt, Hasaacas Ladies have proved they are one of the best teams in the continent.

Three wins and a draw guided Hasaacas to the final, where they would need another victory to be crowned as African Champions, a feat they believe they can achieve comes Friday night.

Five years after seeing Mamelodi Sundowns men’s team winning the CAF Champions League for the first time in their history, the opposite side of the club could rewrite history by being the first ever side to be crowned as the champions.

Four clean sheets, and a penalty shootout win led Sundowns to the final, where they know another clean sheet could mean nothing but being the Champions of the continent.

The top scorer of the tournament and the Best Player Of The group stages, Evelyn Badu will hope to score her sixth goal of the tournament for Hasacass Ladies to win the golden boot for the first time.

Hasaacas Ladies have scored 10 goals and have conceded 4 while Mamelodi Sundowns have scored only 2 and are yet to concede.

Hasacass are capable of scoring more than one in each of their games but Mamelodi Sundowns haven’t scored more than one in their four games played yet.

Base on our analysis, Hasacass coach, Yussif Basigi will introduce more attacking football while Coach Agnes Thandiwe Nkosi is expected to introduce her defensive style of play.
