Ghana’s U-23 side the Black Meteors will know their group opponents for the upcoming Total CAF U-23 Africa Cup of Nations tournament on Wednesday, 2nd October, 2019, Local Organizing Committee have announced.
CAF earlier announced the official draw for the group stages will take place on the 3rd of October this year, but has now been rescheduled to be held at the 19th Century Palace.
The time for the draw is 17:H00 local time, which will be 15:H00GMT.
All the 8 qualified teams for the tournament are expected to attend the official draw ahead of the the main tournament which has been slated for 8-22 November this year in Cairo, Egypt.
The Black Meteors, led by coach Ibrahim Tanko booked a place in the tournament after edging out Algeria’s U-23 side with a 2-1 aggregate over two legs in the final qualifying round.
It is worth noting that the teams to finish in the top three of the final tournament will represent Africa in the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.
