CAF names Senegal’s Issa Sy to handle Ashantigold – RS Berkane Confederations Cup tie in Obuasi

The Confederations of African Football (CAF) have named Senegalese referee Issa Sy as centre referee for the CAF Confederations Cup preliminary round qualifier between Ghana’s Ashantigold SC and RS Berkane of Morocco in Obuasi.

But for the Match Commissioner who is an Ivorian, all four referees are from Senegal and will be in charge of the first leg clash at the Obuasi Len Clay stadium between 13th and 15 September this year.

Referee Issa Sy will be assisted by El Hadji Malick Samba and Nouha Bangoura as line one and two respectively with Adalbert Diouf as the fourth official.

Rene Williams Sere of Ivory Coast will be the match commissioner for the crucial game.

Ashantigold SC set the clash with the Moroccan side after eliminating Akonangui FC of Equatorial Guinea on a 4-1 goal aggregate over two legs.
