Following their surprising 2-2 draw with Benin in the group F tournament opener after a bizarre red card to central defender John Boye, Black Stars coach James Kwasi Appiah is set to make major changes in his starting XI against Cameroon with captain Andre to start from the bench due to a knock.

Appiah will maintain his back four with only the suspended John Boye to be replaced by Jonathan Mensah, while Maritzburg United shot stopper Richard Ofori remains in goal.

Inter Milan midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah returns to the team to play from the right side of attack, while Empoli star Afriyie Acquah is handed a starting role to partner with Wakasu as two holding midfielders.

Coach Kwasi Appiah is contemplating starting Samuel Owusu ahead of Newcastle United winger Christian Atsu, who was in a pale shadow of himself against Benin in the opening match, Focal Sports has learnt.

Below is Ghana’s probable line up against holders Cameroon in a 4-3-2-1 formation:

Richard Ofori (GK)

Andy Yiadom (RB)

Lumor Agbenyenu (LB)

Kasim Nuhu (CH)

Jonathan Mensah (CB)

Afriyie Acquah (CM)

Mubarak Wakaso (CM)

Christian Atsu (right wing)

Kwadwo Asamoah (left wing)

Thomas Teye Partey (10)

Jordan Ayew (FW)

Cameroon lead group F with 3 points followed by Benin and Ghana with a point each, while Guinea-Bissau lie bottom without a point after losing 2-0 to Cameroon in their opener.
